Making the decision to dream big can be a scary endeavor for many people, and yet it’s the step that leads us to live a life we are passionate about absolutely love—a life aligned with God’s purpose for us.

What if we gave ourselves permission to dream beyond our current reality? Where could these thoughts take us? Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us.

Steps to Building Your Dream Life

First, Honor Your Discontent

Discontent is an important signal from our soul that something bigger is seeking to emerge through us. Instead of suppressing it, give yourself permission to explore the realm of your deep desires. Psalm 37:4 encourages us, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Harness this discontent by letting the dream begin to live in your mind and heart as a true possibility. Notice how your body and emotions respond. Does the feeling of desire heighten your sense of aliveness? An expanded sense of joy and vitality is a strong indicator that you are on the right path.

Second, Practice Reframing with “Up Until Now…”

If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get the results you’ve always gotten. Pause for a moment and listen to the old chatter in your mind—the reasons for not taking a risk. Then consciously reframe: “Up until now, that may have been true, but not anymore.”

Your history does not determine your destiny. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are reminded, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Let go of past disappointments and regrets and claim your new beginning with bold faith.

Third, Allow  God To Use You To “Co-Create” and Make the Impossible Possible

Co-creation means partnering with God to build the greatest life you can live. Recognize yourself as a co-creator and seek divine guidance daily. When you ask God to work through you, self-imposed barriers will crumble, and new opportunities will arise. Begin each day thanking God for His blessings and focusing on a desire you once thought was out of reach. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Act as if what you want is possible—not through your own strength, but by trusting in God’s power. Watch as the transformation unfolds.

When you honor your discontent, reframe your limitations, and co-create with God, you unlock the doors to a life of purpose and fulfillment. Remember, you are deeply loved, divinely created, and worthy of living your best life.
